ABOUT THE CENTER OF ATTENTION FOUNDATION
OVERVIEW:
The Center of Attention Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that began as a dream by Dallas Cowboy Center and four time Pro Bowl Selection Andre Gurode and is now a reality. Mr. Gurode envisioned an organization where he could use his visibility and make a difference in the lives of children by using proceeds from high impact fundraising events and creating innovative programs to help catapult children to their fullest potential so they can have every opportunity despite their challenging circumstances.
MISSION:
The Center of Attention Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to the advancement of underprivileged and at-risk youth through a safe, positive environment. Center of Attention is committed to educating and increasing awareness of key issues affecting youth, including initiatives to aid children that have been victims of abuse, poverty, and inadequate healthcare. Furthermore, The Center of Attention aims to provide support to community-based organizations, and create opportunities for disadvantaged children in areas such as arts, education, health and wellness.

The 2nd Annual Andre Gurode Celebrity Weekend June 3-5, 2011
Andre Gurode will host the first annual weekend-long fundraiser to benefit The Center of Attention June 3-5, 2011 in Dallas. Celebrities, athletes, and corporate sponsors will team up for a series of events with an ultimate goal of enriching the quality of life for these deserving children. Partnership With Promise House, Inc. of Dallas
It gives me great pleasure to announce that The Center of Attention Foundation, Inc. has partnered with Promise House in Dallas. When searching for a partner, my goal was to find the one that could benefit most from our efforts as well as available and prospective resources. Initially, I thought this would be a difficult decision, but as soon as I walked into Promise House there was something special in the atmosphere. I went in to learn more about Promise House, and partnered with them before I left! Promise House is an emergency shelter that provides transitional living and other programs designed to assist underprivileged children in reaching their fullest potential. I’m very excited about the partnership and look forward to accomplishing our goals in order to enrich the quality of life of these amazing children.
